Dear all
First and foremost, congratulations and thank you.
You all performed so well in extremely trying (for that read wet)
circumstances and coped wonderfully. Sadly the weather is one area over
which we have no control, but I hope the enthusiastic response from the
huge crowds helped to dispel the damp.
Please pass on our thanks to each and every band member for their
resiliance and good humour, not to mention musicianship, drill and turnout.
I am already receiving reports from our marshals, many of whom have
mentioned the professionalism of the civilian bands.
