This year a scratch Corps of Drums paraded at the Lewes bonfire night. Next year the 5th November is a Saturday so it will be easier to get there.
For those of you who haven’t heard about Lewes fireworks they are legendary. The Bonfire Societies of East Sussex march through the town with torches blazing and then each of the Lewes Bonfire Societies put on their own display in different parts of the town. The result is a fantastic atmosphere which is created by the colourful floats, music, fireworks, bonfires and the heady smell of paraffin from the torchlight procession.
An invite is extended to any members of the Society who want to parade and add support to those few who parade as a Corps of Drums every year.
Please be aware that this is an opportunity provided through the Society but is an event organised by Warlingham Flute Band. If you wish to attend please get in touch via info@corpsof drums.com and I will put you in contact with Angus Bransby who is the point of contact.
